Information for customers
Labor rates are all per. hr. per. tech. unless special in house flat rate pricing is offered or available
some items are only sold installed.
Hourly rate: Store equipment $85.00 per hr + each item if equipment is purchased from
us, we have many items that include the labor at lower flat rates. In example a radio install
is only $60 when purchased with radio, a basic amp install is only $110, standard speakers install is $70.
Customer provided equipment is $95 per hour, one hour minimum, per item actual time per tech.
No warranty or installation guarantee is offered when equipment is not purchased from us directly all service is per hr.
cellular /software/ Bluetooth programming hourly rates apply.
Customer provided equipment Hourly rate $95.00 per hr one hour minimum.
Our minimum shop charge is $37.50 if a tech assists you, after 24 minutes our standard per hour rates will apply.
All labor quotes determined when a visual inspection of the vehicle and equipment
has been completed.
The state of California AB32 asks we offer to check your tire pressure . Our cost is $27.15, you may waive this by initialing the waiver that you do not want your pressures checked on the workorder.
You may request that any old equipment or parts be returned to you . Please
make this request before we work on the vehicle, otherwise they will
be discarded, sold or recycled after the vehicle leaves our shop.
We cannot estimate or quote prices over the phone or internet, we must see the vehicle and equipment.
Bench checks are $7.50 per item (optional ) are done to insure operation of
customer provided tape/cd/radio/equipment. Some intermittent problems
may not be discovered. This procedure may be waived at no liability or
recourse to Kar Tunes.
All charges are due before vehicle will be released. Minimum charge amount to use a credit card is $10.
We accept Visa, MC, Amex, Discover,and business checks only. No personal checks accepted.
We are not a online sales company and do not do phone or internet sales directly.
All credit card payments must be made in person before vehicle pickup.
We charge a 3.5% of transaction processing/phone payment service fee for any credit card charges or sales done without payment being made in person and on any payment made by phone or internet, other than PayPal.
Credit card purchases must be over $10.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
We may require a minimum $125 dollar non-refundable deposit to hold an appointment for installation, this deposit will be forfeited if appointment is missed, cancelled or rescheduled with less than 72 hrs notice.
Deposit will be credited towards invoice total payment upon completion of scheduled work if no changes, cancellation or reschedule is done within 72 hours prior, and work is completed as scheduled.
Our installation work when equipment is purchased from us and installed by a Kartunes MECP certified technician is
guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle simply bring the vehicle to our shop.
Customer provided equipment is not warrantied or guaranteed in any way, all service is billed per hour at $95.
Equipment is covered by manufacturers warranties if equipment is
purchased from us. Any addition, modification, software modification , change,
misuse, damage, repair or alteration of our installation work, or the equipment by
anyone other than a Kartunes certified employee does void this guarantee
and some equipment/manufacturer warranties if in question please ask.
Some installs may require a $3.99 conections kit that includes, heat shrink, tape, solder and wire ties to be connected.
Equipment removal from vehicle if no permanent and or custom modifications are
done, basic radio or speakers, amps usually require permanent install and are not removable, to install a product purchased from us, we will remove the products we installed that where purchased from us. in a vehicle at no charge for the original purchaser of the equipment for vehicle product was originally installed in only.
Free removal does not apply to a product that has been installed in another vehicle after original install, one free removal per product.
Charges will apply if custom or special vehicle specific modifications must be reversed, products installed where provided by the customer and not purchased from us or other than original equipment that was removed by us is reinstalled.
Please remove all items from vehicle before leaving vehicle, we accept no
liability for any items left in vehicles, and be sure to have at least 1/2 a tank of fuel, as we may need to disconnect the battery to perform service, at least more than half a tank or fuel gauge may need to be recalibrated on some cars at your expense by a dealer. if your vehicle runs out of gas there is a fuel charge of $35 for 2 gallons to be added.
Overnight storage charge if vehicle is left over 24hrs after completion of work is $35 per day, maximum of 5 days, after 5 days daily rate increases to $50 per day.
Pickup and/or delivery of customers or vehicles will be billed at shop hourly rate.
Any service performed away from the store is billed @120 per hour with a
one hour minimum. Service calls outside 15 miles, fuel and/or additional service charges
may apply depending on distance, a third
party may be used for delivery over 500 miles to our shop and will be charged to Customer.
Software updates must be purchased and we charge by the hour to install and download them.
Some phones, customer provided electronics and iPods may not provide all
features or work with all equipment we sell. We have lists of compatible equipment
and if not listed we can connect the unit to a demo unit to
test. If you change equipment later we cannot verify the item will work
without testing it first. All phone and electronic device compatibility
and upgrade is at additional cost to the customer by the hour . We
reserve the right to charge labor to research and/or verify
compatibility, and/or connect a device. Any changes or upgrades to
equipment and/or software that cause an inability to use the device or
loss of features, or use is solely at the customers risk. Damage to
units caused by customer connection of incompatible equipment is at
customer risk and is customers responsibility.
Many products may require purchase of a subscription for operation or
specific functions and are sold and/or offered by a service or third
party.Purchase and use of these services are between that service and user.Many
products require that the end consumer must purchase and pay for these
services such as SiriusXM,Onstar, Pandora, Viper
Cellular,Dtv,FloTV,Got2Bwireless, viper smart start and viper smart gps,
Escort, Onstar and K40.Use of these services are strictly between the end user
and that service.
To our customers: We strive to deliver quality products and service.
Let us know if we may help you in any way. We
respect your valuable time, however installations do require time to
complete, we can only estimate time as no two cars are the same.

NO REFUNDS, Exchange only within 7 days ,no in-store credit, full amount is
exchange only, merchandise must be in new condition with invoice, box,
packing and warranty card. All sales are final on items that have been
used, modified, painted, installed or altered. SPECIAL ORDERS, item must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable all
sales are final on special order items, any special shipping is at
additional cost to Customer, and is non refundable .
REPAIRS or defective units , left over 90 days will be sold to cover expenses.
LAYAWAYS, must be picked up and fully paid for in 90 days ,25% restocking fee upon default.
We will meet or beat the price of any authorized dealer, valid at time of
purchase only, you must show us their advertised price before purchase.
we strive to give our customers the best service and pricing available anywhere. If you find a better price on any product at another authorized retailer, we will try to meet or beat that price.
We do not match labor prices or installed prices, only equipment. labor is not negotiable.
Complete competitor's price is subject to matching (including any taxes, shipping and handling charges).

Product must be in-stock and be brand new merchandise, not B stock, used or refurbished.
